General Description
The project aims to establish a road connection between Maramureș County and Ukraine through the construction of a road bridge over the Tisa River and a new border crossing point, including related structures and the necessary operational installations.
The road works are divided into three sections:
- Reconstruction of the DN18 national road structure and development of the roundabout intersection.
- Construction of the border checkpoint platform using cement concrete pavement.
- Construction of the bridge ramps on the Romanian and Ukrainian banks.
Location
The site is located in the northern part of Romania, in Maramureș County, south of the Tisa River, along the state border with Ukraine, starting at km 69+260 of the DN18 national road. The works extend across the territories of Sighetu Marmației and Bocicoiu Mare.
