General Description
The project aimed to construct an elevated road overpass and a collector road to improve mobility in the western area of Oradea and ensure a direct connection to the Borș Customs and the regional road infrastructure.
The investment was financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) – Pillar 1 “Transition to a Green Economy”, Component C4 “Sustainable Transport”. Of the total value, approximately 9 million euros came from European funds. The passage is the first project of its kind in Romania financed through the PNRR. It provides an essential connection between the Municipality of Oradea, the Borș Customs, and the expressway leading to the Transylvania Motorway, contributing to smoother traffic flow, increased safety, and the development of regional transport infrastructure. Lucrările au fost finalizate în octombrie 2024, iar pasajul a fost dat în folosință.
Location
The site is located in the western part of Oradea, within the Western Industrial Area, along the national road DN1 (E60–E79, Calea Borșului Street), between km 634+222 and km 637+025, within the city limits.
