General Description
The project involves the modernization and reconfiguration of Fabricii de Zahăr Street along its entire length, by replacing the existing road structures with a new semi-rigid road structure, creating spaces dedicated to pedestrian and bicycle traffic on both sides of the roadway, and building a new road bridge to replace the existing suspended pedestrian bridge.
The new bridge, with a truss arch structure with a low deck, will connect Bulevardul Muncii and Strada Plevnei via Strada Fabricii de Zahăr, thus facilitating the movement of vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. The project was designed to preserve the existing street levels, minimizing interventions in the riverbed and limiting the impact on the environment.
Location
The site is located within the city limits of Cluj-Napoca, in the northeast, in the Bulgaria and Iris neighborhoods.
